Provide technical expertise for projects. Define, plan, and execute technical aspects of projects. Coordinate and oversee work of other technical experts both Rain and contractors. Prepare bid packages for construction, development, and engineering work. Projects may include calciners, material handling systems, plant utilities, plant and dock infrastructure, and power generation.
A university degree in Engineering is required, as well as, 5-10 years of project engineering experience in an industrial environment. Mature, independent worker requiring minimum supervision. Project management skills. Ability to relate to all levels of the organization, suppliers, and contractors. Requires excellent engineering fundamentals, understanding of all engineering disciplines, project estimation skills, creativity, multitasking, clear and precise verbal and written communication skills, excellent time management, excellent computer skills, and proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs. Experience with AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project or Primavera. Must be able to read and understand all types of drawings. Travel 25%.
Reports to the Project Management Engineer. Works closely with Project Managers, Engineering Manager, plant management, plant staff, and corporate Purchasing Manager. Must interface effectively with engineering firms, vendors, contractors, and outside consultants.
